Ray Michael (Pete) Wurtsbaugh Sr., 59, of Covington Route 2, died Friday (Aug. 20, 1965) at his home. Death was due to a heart attack. He had lived most of his life in Danville. Born Sept. 25, 1906, at West Lebanon, Ind., he was the son of A.C. and Kate Welch Wurtsbaugh. He was married to Hazel Roberts on June 19, 1928. Surviving are his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Sally Marnati of Fontana, Calif.; two sons, Thomas of Danville and Ray Michael Jr. of Mattoon; two brothers, Robert L. of Chicago and Clyde of Danville; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Van Pelt of West Lebanon and Mrs. Nellie Harper of Danville; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert, and a sister, Mabel Hutsler. Mr. Wurtsbaugh was a member of the Central Christian Church and was graduated from Danville High School. He was a life resident of Danville and was employed as an appliance repairman at Sears for 28 years. He retired in 1962 because of ill health. At Danville, the Wurtzbaughs resided at 806 N. Franklin. They moved to Covington this spring. He was a member of the Moose Lodge 1001 of Danville. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Central Christian Church in Danville. The Rev. Joe Detamore will officiate, with burial in Spring Hill Cemetery. Body is at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington where friends may call Sunday afternoon and evening and after 4 p.m. Monday. Body will be taken to the church an hour before services.   --typed by Walt W
