Newtown, Ind.—Rev. Leigh O. Wright, 89, a retired United Presbyterian minister, died Monday, Feb. 25, 1974 in Coshocton County Memorial Hospital in Coshocton, Ohio.
  Services were in the Newtown United Presbyterian Church and burial was in Newtown Cemetery.
  A 1915 graduate of Wooster, Ohio College, he attended Princeton and Xenia Theological Seminaries. In 1932, he received an honorary doctor of divinity degree from Westminster College.
  He served churches in the Midwest before retiring in 1956. After retirement, he became associate pastor of the Westminster Foundation and Presbyterian Student Church at Purdue University.
  During World War II, he was an Army chaplain, attaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He made 84 Atlantic Ocean crossing with U.S. troops. – thanks to S
