HILLSBORO — Mary Magdalene
						(Stoup) Wrede, 89, Hillsboro, died at 9 p.m. Monday, July 24, 2006 in the home
						of her daughter, Shirley Beisecker, in Hillsboro. She was born Oct. 17, 1916
						near Kingman, the daughter of George Earl and Dollie Florence (Payton) Stoup.
						She married Edward Alvin Wrede Dec. 24, 1935 in Clifton, Ill. He preceded in
						death Nov. 21, 1980. She was raised in Illinois and graduated as valedictorian
						of her class in 1934 from Piper City High School. She later moved to Lowell and
						in 1949 moved to Stone Bluff. She had resided in Hillsboro since 1962. She kept
						house for many local families in Hillsboro for several years. She was an active
						member of Prairie Chapel Christian Church, south of Hillsboro. She enjoyed
						crocheting and oil painting. She authored several poems which were published.
						Survivors include: four daughters, Joan Carol (Dean) Hinrichs, Herscher, Ill.,
						Shirley Anne Beisecker and Christina Florence (Ralph) DeFlorio, both of
						Hillsboro, and Martha Lou (Donald) Morris, Crawfordsville; two sons, Ryland
						Edward (Sara) Wrede, New Ross and Clifford Dwayne (Lori) Wrede, Hernando, Fla.;
						three sisters, Martha B. Brinkman, Attica, Minnie Kroll, Milford, ill., and
						Mildred A. Schunke, Gilman, ill.; a brother, George H. Stoup, Gilman, Ill.; 26
						grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by
						her parents; two daughters, Mary Lois Freeman and Kathy Sue Johnson; two
						sisters, Carrie R. Geisler and Hazel L. Peters; and a son-in-law, Bob
						Beisecker. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday in Prairie Chapel
						Christian Church, south of Hillsboro, with Pastors Hubert Wilson and Darin
						Perkins officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro. Maus Funeral
						Home, Hillsboro, was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions are preferred
