Elmer R. Worley, 80, of 117 Rhea, died at 4:50 a.m. today (June 5, 1968) in St. Elizabeth Hospital where he had been a patient since May 25. Born Aug. 29, 1887, in Wayne County, Ill., he was a son of Mack and Nellie Donovan Worley. He had lived in the Danville area 51 years. He was married March 7, 1912, in Fairfield, Ill., to Dora Meeks, who survives. Also surviving are a son, James W. Worley of Terre Haute, Ind.; five daughters, Mrs. Joe (Wanda) Burton of Tilton, Mrs. Leroy (Bernita) Miller of Williamsport, Ind., Mrs. Estol (Mildred) Hazelbaker of Muncie, Ill., Mrs. Charles (Nellie) Hallett of Sidney, Ill., and Mrs. Gilbert (Margaret) Hardy, Danville; 22 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, two grandchildren, two brothers and a sister. Mr. Worley was a former railroad employe, farmer and was last employed at the Vermilion Nursing Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Johnson Funeral Home, with the Rev. G. F. Crank officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home 7-9 tonight and 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday. --typed by Walt W
