Howard Work, 85, a brick contractor in this city since 1907, died Friday at his home, 314 Wayne Avenue, after suffering a coronary occlusion. He had been in failing health four years.
Born Dec 6, 1868 in Montgomery County, west of Waynetown. Mr. Work was the son of Robert M. and Angeline Fletcher Work. He married Blanche C. Calhoun in 1896. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Hurley Work, Crawfordsville and two brothers, Calvin Work, Waynetown and Clayton Work, Hillsboro. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Hunt and Son. -- typed by kbz (thanks Proctors)
