WOOLEY, Artie Bryant - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Hillsboro, July 17 -- Mrs. Artie Wooley, life long resident of Fountain County and wife of James E. Wooley, died at Lakeview Hospital in Danville, ILl, Thursday evening at 6:20 o'clock of appendicitis. Mrs. Wooley had been ill for about two weeks and was taken to the hospital a week ago today. She was born on Jan 1888 in Jackson Twp, the daughter of James P. and Myretta Robbins Bryant and on Jan 31, 1925, was married at Watseka, Ill to James E. Wooley. She is survived by her husband, a son by a former marriage Charles Marlow, of Hillsboro, her father; four brothers, Alfred Byrant of Yeddo; Charles Bryant of near Marshfield, Ind; Martin Bryant of Wallace and Nathan Bryant of Veedersburg, and two sisters, Mrs. Stella Keller of Waynetown and Mrs. Annie Smith of Elkhart, Ind. One child preceded her in death as did her mother, who died 3 years ago. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon probably from the Freedom Church. Burial will be made in Zackmire Cemetery southwest of Wallace - typed by kbz - donated by Connie W.

Wallace, July 22 - Funearl services for Mrs. Artie Wooley were held at Freedom Church, east of here, Sunday afternoon, Rev. John Servies officiating. Burial in Zackmire Cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Zackmire sang, In the Garden, Beautiful Isle of Somewhere and The Eastern Gates. Pallbearers were Raymond Bryant; Chalres Goodin; William Gray; Ed Wildman; Russell Bryant and Forrest Dayton. Flower bearers were Mrs. Loraine Gray; Mrs. Mildred Thompson; Miss Lois Bryant; Mrs. Zelma Cregg (Gregg?) and Miss Ariteen Goodin.
