Funeral services were Friday afternoon at Inverness, Fla for Mrs. Belle Woody, 90, former Kingman resident and member of one of its pioneer families. Mrs. Woody died Wednesday April 4 at the home of her son, Roscoe Woody in Inverness. Born June 27, 1865 she was the daughter of James and Liza Sanders Drake. She was married April 20, 1885 to Thomas Woody who preceded her in death in 1952. The couple was the first to be married in the early town of Kingman. She had made her home in Kingman until two years ago when she moved to Florida. Surviving are the son, Roscoe; five grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. – kbz
