Mrs. Mildred I. Woodruff, 64, native of Waynetown and wife of Samuel M. Woodruff, former Crawfordsville High School teacher, died at 6:50 p.m. Monday at the Clinton County Hospital in Frankfort. She had been ill for four months. The Woodruff residence in Frankfort is at 556 South William Road. Born May 5, 1900, Mrs. Woodruff was the daughter of Clayton and Rebecca Moffett Ingersoll. She was married to Mr. Woodruff Oct. 24, 1925. The deceased was a graduate of Waynetown High School and attended Indiana University for three years. She was later graduated from Indiana State College and taught for 25 years in Indiana public schools, the last 15 years in Clinton County. Mrs. Woodruff was a member of the First Christian Church, the American Association of University Women, Tri Kappa Sorority, and was secretary of the Clinton County Tuberculosis Association board of directors. She also was a member of the Eastern Star of Crawfordsville. Surviving, in addition to the husband who was Frankfort superintendent of schools after leaving here, are three sisters, Mrs. William Munns of Bloomington, Ind., Mrs. Ralph Bounnell of Crawfordsville and Mrs. H. H. Johnson of Covington; three brothers, Ralph M. Ingersoll and Paul C. Ingersoll, both of Hillsboro, and James L. Ingersoll of Waynetown. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Goodwin Funeral Home in Frankfort in charge of Rev. George W. Smith. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Wednesday.

Johnson of Covington and Fountain County School Supt. Ralph A Ingersoll of Hillsboro, died at 6:50 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14. at the Clinton County Hospital, following an illness of four months.
Mrs.. Woodruff had taught in the Indiana public schools for 25 years, the last 15 of which were in Clinton County schools.  A graduate of Waynetown High School, she attended Indiana University for 3 years and was graduated from Indiana State Teachers College in Terre Haute.
She was born in Waynetown on May 5, 1900, the daughter of Clayton and Rebecca Moffett Ingersoll. On Oct.24, 1925; she was married to Samuel M. Woodruff, who survives He is former Superintendent of the Frankfort Community Schools. She  was a member of First Christian Church, Tri Kappa sorority, AAUW, Order of Eastern Star in Crawfordsville, and was former secretary of the Clinton County Tuberculosis Board of Directors.  She Served on the Board for 15 years.
Surviving besides her husband are: three sisters, Mrs. William Munns of Bloomington, Mrs. Ralph Bounnell of Crawfordsville,  and Mrs. Johnson of Covington; three brothers, Ralph M. Ingersoll and Paul G. Ingersoll, both of Hillsboro, and James L. Ingersoll of Waynetown, and two nieces, Linda and Judith Ann Ingersoll, both of Hillsboro.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Goodwin Funeral Home in Frankfort.
The Rev. George Smith will officiated and burial will be in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
