WOODROW, Scott - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Three Covington teenagers were killed instantly in a one-car crash at 10:20 p.m. Saturday, June 10, approximately seven miles south of Interstate 74 on Stringtown Road.

  Dead are Scott M. Dunlop, 17, who died of massive head injuries; Scott N. Woodrow, 17, massive internal injuries and Hellen M. Leak, 16, head and internal injuries, according to the coroner’s report.

  Fountain County Police said they were unable to determine who was driving the car. The driver apparently lost control of the car on a curve and left the road and hit a tree head-on.

  State Police and Fountain County Coroner Robert DeVerter aided in the investigation.

  The three deaths brings the total of fatal accidents in Fountain County to seven for this year.
