COVINGTON — Freeman E. Woodrow,
86, Covington, died at 5:35 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002. He was born April 7,
1916 in Fulton Township, Fountain County, the son of Fred and Hester Allen
Woodrow. He was a lifetime resident of the county and worked as a carpenter and
farmer. He enjoyed fishing and operating a small sawmill with his son.
Survivors include: a son, Michael (Sharon) Woodrow, Covington; two daughters,
Gloria Joan Cockrell, Danville, Ill. and Rhonda Jean Adams, Covington; two
sisters, Una Daniels, Veedersburg and Frances Allen, Williamsport; five
grandsons; and a great-grandson. He was preceded in death by a brother and
three sisters. Gravesite services were at 2 p.m. Thursday in Coal Creek
Cemetery with Louis Brock officiating. Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg, was
in charge of arrangements. – jlr
