Mrs. Edith Violet Woodrow, 54, of 805 Washington St, Covington died at 4:20 a.m. Monday March 7, 1955 after an illness of two years. She was the wife of Dewey Woodrow, prominent Covington building contractor. She was born Aug 2, 1900, daughter of Charles and Lilly Espick McElwee, south of Covington. She was married Feb 16, 1918 to Dewey Woodrow and he survives. Also surviving are three sons: Floyd, Don and John, all of Covington; a daughter, Mrs. Charles Nichols of Gary, Ind and 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother. Mrs. Woodrow was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Cates. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Baptist Church with burial in mt. Hope Cemetery. - kbz
