VEEDERSBURG — Lanny Dale Wood,
56, Veedersburg, died at 10:28 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006 in St. Elizabeth
Medical Center, Lafayette. He was born Nov. 9, 1949 in Kentucky, the son of
Gilbert H. and Bera M. (Comb) Wood. He worked as a carpenter. He enjoyed playing
pool. Survivors include: a daughter, Christina Jordan, Williamsport; a son,
Ricky Wood, in the U. S. Navy; four sisters, Clara (Rex) Allen, Attica, Betty
(James) Dillman, Lafayette, Dianne (Fred) Hoover and Sharon (Randy) Scott, both
of Brooksville, Fla.; and five brothers, James (Mary Lou) Wood, Terry Wood,
Ronnie (Deborah) Wood, all of Veedersburg, Farrell (Teresa) Wood, Ft. Myers,
Fla., and Michael T. Wood, Rockville. He was preceded in death by his parents,
and three brothers, David L., Rancel T. and Arlis F. Wood. Gravesite services
will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Riverside Cemetery, Attica, with the Rev. Gary
Johnson officiating. There will be no visitation. Dickerson Funeral Home,
Veedersburg, is in charge of arrangements. –
