WOOD, John C. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

John C. Wood, 86, a former Hillsboro resident died at his home in Greencastle Sunday afternoon after an extended illness of complications.  He was living alone at the time of his death.  Mr. Wood was born west of Hillsboro the son of Lewis W. and Almira Tyson Wood.  His wife, Mary Wood, preceded him in death several years.  The survivors are one son Harry Wood of Greencastle; a grandson Earl Wood and a great grandchild of Arkansas. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Rose Miller and Mrs. Earl Davidson of Hillsboro.  The two sisters and a brother-in-law, Henry J. Davidson of Hillsboro and a niece and husband< Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Weigel of Indianapolis were calling on him Sunday afternoon and he died during their visit.  -- transcribed by kbz
