WOOD, Homer - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

VEEDERSBURG – Homer Wood, 85, farmer and antique dealer, died at midnight Thursday at his farm home on Rt. 4, Veedersburg. Born Nov. 22, 1879, at Ingerham, Ill., the deceased was the son of Gideon and Ella S. Wood. He was married April 26, 1899, to Druzilla Ruth Colborn, who died Oct. 27, 1957. Mr. Wood had lived in the Veedersburg community since 1930. He was a member of the Sterling Christian Church and the Masonic Order at Sidney, Ill. One daughter, Mrs. Lucille Patterson of Rt. 4, Veedersburg, survives. Services will be conducted at the Fishero Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in charge of Rev. Conley Rowland. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery at Mayville, Ill.    --– jlr
