VEEDERSBURG, Ind. (CNS) – Graveside services and burial were at 3 p.m. today at Hicks Cemetery in Perrysville for Alan Gene Wood, infant son of Arlis Faye and Martha Jean Hughey Wood of Veedersburg, who died at 10 p.m. Tuesday (April 27, 1976) at Riley Hospital in Indianapolis. The Rev. Robert Tharp officiated. The child was born at 6:35 a.m. Tuesday at Lake View Memorial Hospital in Danville, Ill. Other survivors include a sister, Betsy Irene at home; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Gerard of Covington; and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Bera Wood of Veedersburg. The Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington was in charge of arrangements.    --– jlr
