GESSIE — Mrs. Winona Wolter, 84, of Perrysville Route 1 was pronounced dead on arrival at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday night December 29 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Born April 26, 1887 in Catlin, Ill., she was the daughter of John and Jessie Louise Payne Redmond. She was married to Frank C. Wolter Oct. 27, 1914, who died Aug. 18, 1969. A resident of Gessie for 60 years, she was a former resident of the Catlin area and attended the Gessie United Methodist Church. Survivors include one son and one daughter, William, and Mrs. Roy (Louise) Bush, both of Perrysville Route 1; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Schutz of Danville and Mrs. Fay Shewart of Catlin; four brothers, William, Gail and Don Redmond, all of Fairmount, and Charles Redmond of Michigan; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother. Services were 2 p.m. EST Sunday at the Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington, with the Rev. Henry Karg officiating. Burial was in the Hopewell Cemetery, southwest of Covington.  --typed by Walt W
