Newtown, May 29 – Stricken with a heart attack as he was working on a farm one mile east of Newtown, Bernard Witt, 59 of Newtown suddenly dropped dead at 4:30 o’clock this afternoon. Witt was working at the home of Fred Palin when he was stricken. He had been in good health at noon. The son of Mary and James Witt he was born here May 14, 1875, marrying Miss Della Clawson who survives, in January 1900. Although he was a member of the Methodist Church, he had not missed attending the Presbyterian Sunday School each Sunday for the last 13 years. Besides the widow, he leaves three daughters, Bernice, Donnabell and Edith Witt and one son, Sewell, all living at home; and two brothers, Clint and WV Witt of Indianapolis. The body was removed to the family residence pending funeral arrangements. Kbz
