WITSMAN, Claude

  Tangier—Claude Witsman, 61, retired Tangier farmer, died at 5 p.m. Monday in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, where he had been a patient the past 24 days. Born Sept. 2, 1883 in the Cates area, he was the son of Noah and Mary Hibbs Witsman.     Surviving are a son, Ray Witsman, with the Army in Italy; three daughters, Mrs. Virginia Earle of Indianapolis, Mrs. Beulah Swim of La Porte, Ind., and Mrs.. Helen Thompson of Silverwood, near Kingman; three sisters, Mrs. Dallas Keller and Mrs. Minnie Holland, both of Catlin and Mrs. Maude Crowder of Benton Harbor, Mich.; and a brother, Caleb Witsman of Cates. His wife preceded him in death. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Howard Presbyterian Church. Burial was made in Miller Cemetery. -s
