Rita Kay Stephenson Wise, 58, Crawfordsville, passed away Friday morning in her daughter's home in Veedersburg. She was a graduate of Crawfordsville High School in 1967 and House of James Beauty College in 1975. She worked for many years at the Redwood Inn. She was born November 7, 1948 in Crawfordsville to John and Neva Stephenson. Survivors include a daughter, BrandiLyn M. (Ed) Beavers of Veedersburg, three sons, Corey (Amber) Stephenson of New Market, Kyle Stephenson of Crawfordsville and Travis Wise of Chickasha, Oklahoma. In addition, she is survived by her mother, Neva Stephenson of Crawfordsville, one brother, Chico Stephenson of Clinton, and six sisters, Becky Brock, Sally (Richard) Cotten, Susie Johnson, Jackie (Terry) Smith, Lori (Doug) Fry and Bobbi (Jeff) Joiner, all of Crawfordsville, as well as 5 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her dad. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:30 at Grace & Mercy Ministries, 257 W. Oak Hill Road, Crawfordsville, with Pastor Nathan Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery North. Friends may call Monday from 4-7 at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to help the family with medical and funeral expenses. Arrangements have been entrusted to Burkhart Funeral Home.
