PERRYSVILLE, Ind. (CNS) — Jesse Edward Wise, 80, of Perrysville, died about 10:30 p.m. Friday (Oct. 26, 1973) at the Danville Veterans Administration Hospital, where he had been a patient one week. Born Sept. 8, 1893, in Dana, he was a son of Edward Owen and Sarah Ellen Short Wise. He married Ruby G. Sigler in 1960. She survives. Other survivors are six stepchildren, Mrs. Ella Hamm of Houston, Texas, Garland Sams of Veedersburg, Mrs. Betty Whinery of Anderson, Sherman Sollars and Mrs. Donna Omlor, both of Marion, and Jerry Sollars, of San Diego, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Grace Barr of New Port Richy, Fla., Mrs. Hazel Smith of Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Edna Hipkiss and Mrs. Mary Albina Grimm, both of Terre Haute. He was preceded in death by four sisters. He served in the Army during World War II and worked several years for Dr. W. A. Johnson in Perrysville. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Bodine-Shelby Funeral Home in Covington. The Rev. Dale Cadman will officiate and burial will be in Thomas Cemetery in Newport. Walter Hoyt Post 350 of the American Legion will conduct graveside military rites. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.   --typed by Walt W

PERRYSVILLE – Jesse Edward Wise, 80, a retired employe of Dr. W. A. Johnson, died at 10:30 p.m. Friday in Veterans Hospital at Danville, Ill., where he had been a patient a week. Mr. Wise was employed by Dr. Johnson 19 years. He was a veteran of World War I. He resided most of his life in the Perrysville community and was a former resident of the Newport and Dana areas. He was born Sept. 8, 1893, at Dana, a son of Edward Owen Wise and Sarah Ellen Short Wise. He was married to Ruby G. Sigler at Perrysville in 1960. Surviving with the widow are six step-children, Mrs. Ella Hamm of Houston, Tex.; Garland Samms of Veedersburg; Mrs. Betty Whinery of Anderson; Sherman Sollars of Marion; Jerry Sollars of San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Donna Onlor of Marion; four sisters, Mrs. Grace Barr of New Port Richey, Fla.; Mrs. Hazel Smith of Chicago; Mrs. Edna Hipkiss and Mrs. Albine Grimm, both of Terre Haute and several nieces and nephews.
