COVINGTON, Ind. (CNS) – William Henry Winters, 76, a resident of Covington for the past five years, died at 5:20 p.m. Wednesday (Aug. 12, 1970) at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Danville where he had been a patient 15 months. He had been ill for three years. Born June 24, 1894 in Fountain County, he was the son of William Wesley and Arlena L. McLain. He had never married. Mr. Winters was a former resident of Danville, Ill., and Sarasota, Fla. He was a farmer in early life and a former employe of the C & EI Shops. He is survived by seven brothers, John of Portland, Ore., James of Clinton, Henry J. of Oakwood, Ill., Fred of Covington, Walter of Lincoln, Neb., Charles W. of Louisville, Ky. and Carl R. of Round Lake, Ill.; three sisters, Mrs. Ritha Marie Lewin, Mrs. Ida F. Keller and Mrs. Lillian Goods, all of Covington, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. EDT Saturday at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home with the Rev. Eugene Rapson officiating. Burial will be in Coal Creek Cemetery. -– jlr
