Wilbur C. (Bill) Wilson, age 68, who operated the skating rink at the local city park the past two years, died at 9:35 p. m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, in his home in Williamsport following an eight-month illness. Born Dec. 26, 1892 in Hammond he was the son of Edward C. and Jenny Beaver Wilson. He was married Dec. 17, 1921, to Dorothy Miley, who survives. Mr. Wilson had operated a skating ring in Williamsport and then in Covington the past two years. He was a member of the Williamsport Christian Church and the Moose Lodge. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Lucille Bracken of Covington; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, Sept. 15, at the Machledt Funeral Home in Williamsport. The Rev. Douglas Dickey officiated. Burial was in the Highland Cemetery. --typed by Walt W
