Thomas Woodrow Wilson, age 48, of Covington Rt. 2, died at 5:08 p. m. Saturday, Nov. 27, while en route from St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., to an Indianapolis hospital. He succumbed in the Bodine & Shelby ambulance near Hillsboro in Fountain County. He had recently undergone open heart surgery at the Robert Long Hospital in Indianapolis. Mr. Wilson was born July 8, 1917 in Danville, Ill., the son of Sherman and Winifred Carter Wilson. He was married April 27, 1940 to Vera L. Moudy, who survives. He was a resident of the Foster community, west of Covington, for the past 15 years and a former resident of Danville. He was a member of the Benson Chapel Methodist Church, west of Covington, of Fountain Lodge No. 60, F &AM, and of the National Power Engineers. Mr. Wilson was employed as a maintenance foreman at the Olin-Mathison plant, just west of Covington, and previously had been employed at the C&EI Railroad Shops at Danville, the Liberty Powder Co., at Newport and Time-O-Matic, Danville. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are: his mother in Danville, Ill.; one daughter, Judith L. and one son, Michael, both at home; one brother, Sterling C. of Santa Fe Springs, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. Julia Meharry and Mrs. Jean Eisenhauer, both of Danville. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p. m. Tuesday at the Benson Chapel Church. The Rev. Lawrence Tedrow, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park with the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in charge. --typed by Walt W
