Sprosen Wilson, 72, a well known Fountain County farmer who was injured critically when his auto was struck at a Big Four crossing east of Covington, Wednesday noon, an accident in which his sister, Mrs. Mary Peters, ws killed died at 12 o'clock Friday morning at the Johnson-Suzuke Clinic in Covington. Mr. Wilson died on the 72nd anniversary of his birth. Mr. Wilson was taken to the clinic following the crash. He suffered a broken right arm, a double fracture of his left leg and lacerations severer internal wounds. His sister, riding with him in his car when it ws struck by a westbound Big Four passenger train was killed instantly. Her body was so badly mangled it necessitated the holding of funeral services the following day. His sister, a widow, lived with him at his farm. Mr. Wilson was the son of FLetcher and Margaret Wilson pioneer residents of Fountain County and was never married.
Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Crumley Funeral Home in COvington with the Rev. Lawrence Tucker of Danville, officiating. Burial was made in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The nearest related survivors are a niece, mrs. Newman AUter of Danville and a nephew, Lawrence Peters of Monroe, Mich. --- transcribed by kbz
