She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed in the Fountain County Section of Local History at Crawfordsville District Public Library.


Porter Cass Wilson, 89, of 601 S. Perry St., Attica, died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1970, at the Small Nursing Home in Waynetown. He had ben a patient there since Nov. 23 and had been ill five weeks. Born June 26, 1881, in Covington, he was the son of Henry C. and Laura Ella Blue Wilson. He was married to Emma Turner, who died in 1929. He had resided most of his life in the Attica community. Mr. Wilson was employed as a lineman for the telephone company for a number of years and recently had been working as a self-employed electrician. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Carson Briner of Covington and Mrs. Edna Hirshbeel of Lafayette; seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by five sons. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the DeSutter Funeral Home. The Rev. Harold Bachert will officiate. Burial in Riverside Cemetery.   – jlr
