Source: The obituary is from a collection of newspaper (paper names not recorded) obituaries saved, by Fauniel Hershberger, during the 1950's, 60's, 70's and 80's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Herbert Wilson, 808 S. Perry St., Attica, died at his residence 5 p.m. Monday. He had been in falling health the past six months; however, death was sudden and unexpected. Mr. Wilson was born at Marshfield on April 14, 1908, the son of Porter and Emma Tanner Wilson. He was married Aug. 6, 1937, in Crown Point, to Geneva East, who survives. He served in U. S. Army from 1930-37, and was and employe of Harrison Steel Castings Co for 20 years. Prior to that he was employed at Alcoa in Lafayette. He attended Attica schools. Surviving with the wife are his father, Porter, Attica; three sons, Jerry, at home; James and Timothy, both of Attica; two daughters, Mrs. Dixie Alkire, Covington; Mrs. Diana Molden, Attica; ten grandchildren. Funral services in the Desutter Chapel Thursday, with Rev. Harold Bachert officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery.   --– jlr

COVINGTON — Funeral services for Herbert Wilson, age 61, of Attica, father of Mrs. Dixie Alkire of Covington, who died at 5 p. m. Monday, June 23, at his home, were held at 1 p. m; Thursday at the DeSutter Funeral Home Attica.  The Rev.
Harold Bachert officiated and burial was in the Riverside Cemetery.
Mr. Wilson was born April 14, 1908, at Marshfieid, the son of Porter Cass and Emma Tanner Wilson. He was married Aug. 6, 1937, at Crown Point, to Geneva East, who survives.
He attended Attica schools and served in the Army from 1930 to 1937. He was employed at Harrison Steel Castings Co.
in Attica as an oven kneller for 20 years and was previously employed at Alcoa in Lafayette. He was a member of the
United Methodist Church.
Survivors, in addition to the wife, are: his father, Porter Wilson of Attica; three sons, Jerry at home, James in Attica and Timothy of Attica; two daughters, Mrs. Alkire of Covington and Mrs. Diana Molden of Attica; and 10 grandchildren.
