Friends have received word of the death of Denton E. Wilson, age 80 years a former businessman of Mellott. He passed away at his home in Danville, Ill Sat March 2. He had been in failing health for several years. He was born in Newtown May 29, 1876. His parents were Henry and Mary Wilson. For several years he and his father operated the Wilson & Son Lumber Co in Mellott. He and his wife, Pearl Crawford Wilson now deceased left Mellott about 40 years ago. His wife died in 1949 and he later married Madge Curry of Terre Haute who survives. Burial was made in the old Beulah Cemetery near Rob Roy northwest of Mellott Monday afternoon March 4. ---kbz
