Attica - Mrs. Vera Williams died at 8:50 a.m. Thursday in  her home at 303 E Pike St.  She had been bedfast since August.  Born in Owen County, she was a primary school teacher.  She had taught at Spencer, Gosport and Honey Grove, Tex.  

Mrs. Williams received her 50-year pin from the Order of Eastern Star last August. Her husband, George N. Williams was owner of the Fountain-Warren Democrat before his death in october 1945.,

Surviving are a stepson, Bruce Williams of Chandler, Ariz and two step daughters, the Misses Mary and Edith Williams, both at home. - kz

Williams, Mrs. Vera - Friends may call at the residence, 303 E Pike St, Attica after Friday morning. Services there at 2 p.m. Saturday, Rev. Peter McEwan officiating.  Burial in Riverside cemetery.  SeSutter Funeral Home in charge. - kz
