Robert Earl Williams, 20, of Tuscola, Ill., grandson of Mrs. Effie Bever of Hillsboro, was fatally injured in an automobile accident near Salem, Ill., Monday March I, 1965.
He was one of six victims in the two-car crash. In the Williams' auto were Joseph Norton, 20, of Champaign, Ill., and Dale Elenteng, 24, of Chicago. They were en route to Carbondale, Ill., where they were students at Southern Illinois University.
Williams was the son of Earl and Merle Bever Williams and was born in 1944 at Tuscola. His mother was born and lived in Hillsboro. She is the daughter of the late Henry and Mrs. Effie Bever.
A sister, Amy Williams of Champaign, Ill., also survives.
Services were at the Waddington Funeral Home in Tuscola at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Burial was in Cayuga Cemetery.
