Peter M. Williams of Hillsboro, a retired carpenter and miller, died yesterday in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Engmark, 5380 Guilford Ave.  He was 86.  Mr. Williams lived all his life in Hillsboro but with his wife, Mrs. Bertha William, had spent winters here the last 12 years.  Services and burial will be held in Hillsboro but the time has not been set.  Survivors are a son, Maurice of Hillsboro and five grandchildren. A brother, James J. Williams, Hillsboro, died two months ago. ~~~transcribed by kbz

The Rev. Arthur Howell conducted the funeral service of Peter M. Williams at the Hillsboro Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Saturday.  The pall bearers were Grover Crowder; Albert Davidson; Charles Williams and Carl Leight of Hillsboro; Roy Henricks of Carmel and Ed Boemke of Indianapolis.  Lucile Parnell, Vera Shade, Fred McBroom and Claude Harding accompanied by Mildred Grey sang, “Old Rugged Cross” and “God’s Tomorrow.”   The flower bearers were Dorothy Weigel of Indianapolis; Daisy Hendricks of Carmel; Grace Tinsley; Gertie Frazier; Eugenia Williams; Mabel Keeling, Alta Leighty; Pearl Humphreys; Nora Epperson; Anna Foxworthy and Bessie Crowder.  Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro. – Thanks to Bren M     ~~~transcribed by kbz
