MELLOTT -- Funeral services for H. Marvin Williams, age 62, proprietor of the Williams Cafe in Mellott, who died at 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, Ill., were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro. The Rev. Charles Kraft, pastor of the Mellott United Church of Christ, officiated and burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery at Hillsboro. Mr. Williams, who had been hospitalized five days, had owned and operated the cafe here for the past 32 years. He previously had been employed with the C&EI Railroad in Danville, Ill. He was born June 22, 1903, in New Richmond, the son of Charles and Barbara McArmond Williams. On April 24, 1926, he married Orpha Simmons of Mellott in Covington. The couple spent their entire married life in Mellott. He was a member of the Richland Lodge 205, F&AM, of Newtown and the Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are: one son, Ira Ray (Zeke) Williams of Mellott; a granddaughter and grandson, Terri and Tony, and three sisters, Mrs. Claude (Gladys) McCauley of Newtown, Mrs. Howard (Arminta) Cutler of Danville, Ill., and Mrs. Leva (Leotha) Cooper of Attica.   --typed by Walt W
