WILLIAMS, Letha E. Spear - 1969 - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

NEWTOWN, Ind. (CNS) – Mrs. Letha E. Williams, 82, of Newtown, died about noon yesterday (Nov. 16, 1969) at the Community Hospital in Williamsport. Born Dec. 28, 1886, in Cumberland County, Ky., she was the daughter of Thomas and Mary Hamilton Spear. She was married, Jan. 2, 1907, to Bedford Williams, who died in 1968. She was a member of the Nondenominational Church. Survivors include a son, Preston of Hillsboro; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Garrett of Lafayette and Mrs. Mae Cooksey of Crawfordsville; three brothers, Joseph Spear of New Richmond, Roy and Robert Spear, both of Attica; two grandchildren and a great-grandchild. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, two sons and two brothers. Services will be at 10 a.m. EST Wednesday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home. Weldon Burgess and Frank Porter will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery at Wingate. The body is at the funeral home. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.   – jlr
