John Williams, 72, died at 4:30 o’clock Saturday morning at his home in Hillsboro of acute indigestion. He resided alone and was found Thursday morning by a neighbor who was plowing a garden nearby and heard him groaning. A physician and Mrs. Will Sandel, a sister of the deceased were summoned. Mr. Williams spent most of his life in Hillsboro but for a few years he followed his trade as a barber in Colorado, Chicago and other places. He was born Aug 22, 1858 the son of Pleasant and Margaret McBroom Williams. He was never married and is survived only by the sister, Mrs. Lena Sandell. He united with the Hillsboro Christian Church when a young man and was a charter member of the Eagles Lodge of Crawfordsville. Funeral services were held at 2:30 o’clock Sunday afternoon at the Hillsboro Christian Church. Interment in the old Hillsboro cemetery.
