Veedersburg—Miss Katherine Hicks was notified Saturday morning of the tragic death of her fiancé, James Williams, 21, of Indianapolis, and his brother, David, 17.
The brothers were killed when the auto driven by David was struck by a train as the trio was enroute to their work at the R.C.A. plant.
James Williams had planned to work until noon and then come to Veedersburg to visit with Miss Hicks on her birthday anniversary. He is well known here, having visited on frequent occasions. The boys were the sons of Mr. and Mrs. James Williams Sr. of Indianapolis. Miss Katherine Hicks, accompanied by her mother, Mrs. Harry Hicks, went to Indianapolis upon receipt of the message.
