WILLIAMS, Hazel Martin

Hazel N. Williams, 92, Covington, died Sunday afternoon, December 4, at Lutheran Nursing Home in Seymour where she had been a resident the past five years.
Born May 8, 1891 in Covington, she was the daughter of Edwin W. and America Frances Osborn Martin. On October 14, 1919 she married Ferrell G. Williams, who died July 15, 1969. A graduate of Covington High School and Western College at Oxford, Ohio, she taught school in Perrysville for several years.
She was a member of the Win One Class, a 50-year member of Troy Chapter 145 Order of Eastern Star, Richard Henry Lee Chapter of DAR, and a former member of Alpha Gamma Chapter of Tri Kappa. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. George Warner of North Vernon; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert, and an infant sister.
Services were conducted Wednesday at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Robert H. Miller officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery. The family requested that any memorials be in the form of contributions to the Indiana United Methodist Children’s Home. - s
