WILLIAMSPORT, Ind. (CNS) -- Grover C. Williams Sr., 89, of Williamsport Route 2, died at 3:01 p.m. Friday (Nov. 5, 1976) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill. He had been ill eight years. Born Jan. 30, 1887, in Warren County, he was the son of Clarkson and Cassandra McGinnis Williams. He married Clara Anna Lawson on Dec. 9, 1909. She survives. A life resident of the Beech Grove community in Warren County, Mr. Williams had been a farmer and a carpenter. Other survivors include a son, the Rev. Grover C. Williams of Williamsport Route 2, and three grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Monday at Williams Chapel in Johnsonville, with his son officiating. Burial will be in Baltimore Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. today at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington. The body will be taken to the church an hour before services. --typed by Walt W
