Veedersburg – Mrs. Grace Williams, 81, was found dead at 7 a.m. Monday in her farm home four miles south of here. Death was from a heart attack according to Ralph Nelson, Fountain County Coroner. Mrs. Williams’ body was discovered by Roy Haas, a truck driver, when he delivered brad to the home. She had been in ill health for some time and had been under the care of a physician. She was last seen Saturday noon by a nephew, Perry Cook. She was a life long resident of this community, having been born in the farm home in which she died. Her husband Glenn Williams died in 1948. She was a member of the New Liberty Christian Church. Immediate survivors include a sister, Mrs. Delia Burgner of this community. - kbz

Funeral services for Mrs. Grace Williams, 81 who was discovered dead in her home in the New Liberty neighborhood southeast of Veedersburg were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Fishero Funeral Home. Rev SJ Pritchard officiated. Mrs. Williams, who according to Coroner Ralph Nelson suffered a coronary thrombosis sometime late Saturday or early Sunday morning was last seen about noon on Saturday by her nephew, Perry Cook. She was discovered by bread-route man, Roy Haas. Mrs. William was born in 1878 the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Hesler. She was married to Glen Williams who preceded her in death 11 years ago. Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Deila Burgner of Veedersburg; two nephews, Perry and Marvin Cook of this community and two nieces, Mrs. Harald Dice, Indianapolis and Mrs. CA Alcorn, Bloomington. Burial was at Bonebrake Cemetery. – kbz
