Mrs. Fannie E. Williams, 83, who spent the greater part of her life in Hillsboro died suddenly at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ed Roembeke in Indianapolis about 9:30 Wednesday night. She had suffered a heart attack. Mrs. Williams had resided with her daughter and husband for the past 13 years. She was the daughter of Alexander and Sarah Fossett born in Illinois Feb 20, 1872. She was married to James J. Williams and he died Jan 31, 1947. A son, Shirley Williams also preceded her in death in November 1918. She was a member of the Hillsboro Methodist Church, charter member of the WSCS member of Fern Chapter OES, the Past Matrons and Patrons Club an honorary member of Pythian Sisters. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Roembeke at whose home she died, a granddaughter, Mrs. Winifred Briggs of Indianapolis, a grandson, James Edward Roembeke of Hawthorne Nevada and 5 great granddaughters. The body is at Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro where friends may call after 6:00 p.m. Thursday evening. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Kenneth Vetters, local pastor in charge. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro. – kbz
