HILLSBORO — Eugenia Van Vliet Williams, 57, resident of Lake Wells, Fla., died Tuesday in Lakeland General Hospital at Lakeland, Fla. She had been a patient there for three weeks. A graduate of Central Normal College at Danville, Mrs. Williams lived in Hillsboro for many years and taught music in Newport, Hillsboro and Richland Township schools. She also taught music at Lake Wells Junior High School. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Professional Business Club, Order of Eastern Star and a former member of the Hillsboro Harmony Club. Mrs. Williams was born Sept. 11, 1913, to Vernon and Viola Van Vliet in Newport. On June 15, 1941, she married Charles B. Williams, who died in August, 1967. Survivors include her mother; a daughter, Jo Ann, at home, and a brother, Ralph Van Vliet of Silver Springs, Md. She was preceded in death by her father in June. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Hillsboro Christian Church, with Rev. Dorman Winger officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro after 9 a.m. Friday. --typed by Walt W
