ATTICA — Dorothy L. (Pratt) Hemp Williams, 80, 1206 N. Third St., Attica, died at 2:33 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, 2006 in Williamsport Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Oct. 11, 1926 near Hillery, Ill., the daughter of Elmer J. and Mary Pratt. She married Frank A. Williams Feb. 17, 1947 in Danville, Ill. He survives. She worked as a clerk at the Index Notion Store in Attica. She later worked for the Alward Nursing Home in Attica. She was a former member of the Baptist Church and Church of the Nazarene in Attica. She enjoyed raising a flower garden and attending to her pet dogs. She loved horses and horseback riding. She liked to sew and was a jig saw puzzle worker. Survivors, besides the husband, include: a daughter, Linda Butler, Attica; a son, Ronnie Hemp, Attica; a step son, Gary Franklin Williams, Covington; six grandchildren, Andrea Butler, Tina Briles, Kip Rushin, Leon Rushin, Brian Hemp and Richie Hemp; a step grandson, Carl Williams; four great-grandchildren, Heather, Tiffany, Christa and Brian; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 11 brothers and sisters. Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Friday in Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with Pastor Tom Brown officiating. Burial was in the V.A.
