WILLIAMS, Bedford - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

NEWTOWN, Ind. (CNS) -- Bedford A. Williams, 91, of Newtown, died at 1 p.m. Sunday (Dec. 22, 1968) in the Community Hospital in Williamsport, where he had been a patient two weeks. Born Dec. 16, 1877 in Monroe County, Ky., he was the son of Samuel and Nanie Maxey Williams. He married Letha Spear, Jan. 2, 1907, in Burksville, Ky. They had resided in the Newtown area for 55 years. He retired from farming in 1953. Mr. Williams was a member of the Non-Denominational Church of Newtown. Surviving are the widow, a son, Preston of Hillsboro and two granddaughters. He was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter, five brothers, and a sister. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Luther Neusbaum officiating. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Funeral Home at Wingate. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. today.   -- typed by Walt W
