Death Came to Asa Williams at 8:30 o'clock Sunday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Farner of Covington following a short illness. He was born March 22, 1854 in Hancock, Indiana a son of William and Hannah Bishop Williams. Surviving him are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Farner nd Mrs. S. Newkirk, both of Covington; brothers, David of Newport and Calvin of Montezuma; three sisters, Mrs. Jennie Blythe of Dana; Alice Ferguson of Indianapolis; Mrs. Lucille Lister of Chicago; 23 grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.Funeral services were held at 23 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Gospel Tabernacle in Covington with Rev. Roscoe Russell officiating. Burial was made in Mt. Hope Cemetery. --- transcribed by kbz
