Hillsboro - Ivan H. Willett, 59 Rt 1, Hillsboro was found dead Sunday at his hom, Fountain County Coroner Robert Shelby said. Mr. Willett had taken his own life by carbon monoxide poisoning. He reportedly had been in failing health for some time. He had farmed in the Hillsboro area most of his life. Born July 2, 1911, near Roby Roy, he was a son of William and Emily Shade Willett. He was married March 19, 1938 to Lela O. McFadden. They were married at Kentland. Mrs. Willett died 7 years ago Saturday. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jack Ross of Crawfordsville; a brother, Clifford "Pete' Willett of Hillsboro; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Hamm of Greenwood and 3 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home at Crawfordsville. Rev John Carter will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Crawfordsville. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Tuesday.
