Fred A. Wilkinson, 79, retired Crawfordsville restaurant proprietor died Friday night in Culver Hospital. He had been in failing health several years and seriously ill one month. Born Nov 13, 1876 in Fountain County Mr. Wilkinson was the son of Decatur and Emma A. Thompson Wilkinson (picture - sorry, too bad to scan). He was married Nov 27, 1901 to Stella Lewellen who died last April 7. Mr. Wilkinson was in the restaurant business in this city 18 years. During his early life he engaged in farming. He was a member of the Alamo Masonic Lodge, Crawfordsville Eagles and VFW Father's Auxiliary. Survivors include four children, Ernest Wilkinson, Ervie Wilkinson of Wayentown, Charles Wilkinson; and Mrs. Emma Earl; a sister, Mrs. Sylvia Dodd; six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 5 sisters and 3 brothesr. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Proffitt & Sons Funeral Home. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery, Rev. John Servies will be officiating minister. Friends may call at the funeral home. The Alamo Masonic Lodge will conduct rites at the graveside. - kbz
