WILKINSON, Ann M. Livingston Ratcliff

Ann M. Wilkinson, the daughter of Jacob and Jane Livingston was born in Perry Co PA Feb 20, 1841 and departed this life Aug 25, 1903 at the age of 62 years 6 months and 5 days. Moving to Indiana in her early
womanhood she was married to Walter Ratcliff of Fountain Co Dec 20, 1860. To this union was born one child, Lawrence Walter who still survives her. Death came into her home after only two years of their happy life had passed and claimed her husband. Jan 3,1 872 she was united in marriage to James Wilkinson who now at the call of the Supreme Father must give her to her Heavenly home. To their union was b. 5 children: Alonzo; Mrs. Guy Livengood; Ella B; Mrs. George Suydam and an infant son deceased. She has also been a mother to 11 stepsons and daughters, nine of which are living and were present at the funeral mourning the loss of one who indeed was a motherly mother. In all, she leaves a devoted husband, 14 children who claim the filial tie of sons and daughters, four brothers, and two sisters to bow to the loss of a faithful wife, a loving mother, and an affectionate sister. There are also a host of relatives and innumerable friends who share in the grief of this departed on.... she made an enemy of no one, but friends of all.  She possessed the supreme qualities of women, and exemplified the life of a Christian mother.  Her every day life was the best evidence of her sincerity in her Savior.  She so lived that she could enjoy the happy reflections of a well spent life and could die in the hope of a glorious immortality. The funeral services were conducted at the home in
Waynetown by Rev. Pritchard, interment was made in the Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown. - kbz
