WILKEY, Sherman - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Bloomingdale -- Sherwood L. Wilkey, 69, retired electrician, died at 2:30 p.. Wednesday in Vermillion County Hospital, Clinton. Born Dec 8, 1901, near Tangier in Parke County he was a son of Arista and Lizie McMasters Wilkey. He was married July 3, 1926, to Zilpha Osborn. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Miriam Jane) Keller of Catlin and Mrs. Arthur (Gladys) Coy of Kokomo; two grandchildren; a half brother, Pearley Stevens of Kingman; a half sister, Mrs. Clarence Handley of Bainbridge and an uncle, Arthur McMasters of Tangier. He was preceded in death by a half brother and half sister. Services will be conducted at 10:30 Friday in the Tudor Funeral Home with Rev. David Terrell and Rev. Fred Stewart officiating. Burial will be in the Bloomingdale Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
