WILKEY, Marjorie Brown

Mrs. Marjorie Wilkey, 83, Covington, died at 6 p.m. Monday, November 28, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Illinois.
  Born July 6, 1900 in Illinois, she was the daughter of William E. and Mary A. Brown. She married Robert G. Wilkey in September of 1920, who died in August of 1963. She operated a candy store and served as treasurer of Fountain County from 1952 to 1960. A graduate of Covington High School, she was a member of Covington United Methodist Church, Alpha Gamma Associate Chapter of Tri Kappa, and Fortnightly Bridge Club.

  Survivors include a son-in-law, John L. Duncan of Bremon; a brother, Ralph Brown of Tucson, Arizona; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, two brothers and a daughter, Marianna.

  Services were conducted today (Thursday) at Covington United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert H. Miller officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery at Covington. Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home of Covington was in charge of arrangements. – thanks to S
