Mrs. Stella Leora Wilkenson, age 71, a resident of Covington for the past 31 years, died at 9:30 p. m. Monday, March 20, at her home at 708 Ninth St. She had been ill for the past two months. Mrs. Wilkenson was born Sept. 21, 1889 in Warren County, the daughter of Rufus and Malisa Ferry Larkins. She was married August 5, 1913 to Albert M. Wilkenson, who preceded her in death Feb. 16, 1953. She moved to Covington from Peru. She was a member of the United Brethren Church of Warren County. Surviving Mrs. Wilkenson are: one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Lillian) Flora; two grandchildren, Gary, in service with the U. S. Navy, and Janice, a senior in the Covington Community High School, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and five sisters. The body is at the Hegg Funeral Home here where friends may call after noon today. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon. The Rev. Glenn Ray, pastor of the First Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. --typed by Walt W
