James F. Wildman of Thorntown, age 56, died Friday afternoon, June 4, in St. Vincent’s Hospital at Indianapolis. He was born in Fountain County, January 23, 1926, the son of Fenton and Pauline Greve Wildman. December 4, 1947, he married Sarah Lawson, who survives.
A graduate of Richland High School at Newtown, he served as an Army paratrooper in 1946 and 1947. He was a farmer for many years, had also been hatchery manager for Ross Poultry of Farm Bureau Co-op.
Also surviving are his mother of Crawfordsville; three daughters, Susan Endres of rural Lebanon, Tamara and Elizabeth Ann, both at home; a son, Michael F. of Lebanon; five sisters, Margie West of Rockville, Viola Weigle of RR 2, Attica, Mary Klutzke of Wingate, Ethel Holland of Joliet, Illinois, and Catherine Hampton of Crawfordsville; and four brothers, Ralph of Crawfordsville, Charles of Williamsport, William of Mobile, Alabama, and Philo of Veedersburg.
Funeral services were held Monday morning at Russell and Hitch Funeral Home in Lebanon with Jim Dawes officiating. Burial was in Pleasant View Cemetery west of Lebanon. – thanks to S
