Fenton Wildman, 74, of Veedersburg Route 3, died unexpectedly Tuesday April 17 1973 at his home. Born Feb 4 1899 at Garrett, Ill., he was the son of Philo and Viola Keeling (Keeling) Wildman. He was married Sept 21 1921 at Tuscola to Pauline Greve who survives. Mr. Wildman came to Indiana 54 years ago from Illinois. He had attended Illinois schools. He was a member of the Harshbarger Church at Atwood and the Fountain County Farm Bureau. Other survivors include five daughters, Mrs. John (Margie) Est of Rockville, Mrs. Francis (Viola) Weigle of Attica Route 2, Mrs. Robert (Mary) Klutzke of Wingate, Mrs. Ben (Ethel) Holland of Joliet and Mrs. Richard (Catherine) Hampton of Crawfordsville; five sons, Ralph E. of Crawfordsville, Charles F., William D. and Thomas P. all of Veedersburg, two sisters, Mrs. Edna Shultz of Attica Route 1 and Mrs. Vernie Williams of Arroyo Grande, Calif.; two step sisters, Mrs. Ted McCoy of Brazil and Mrs. Paul Stone of Fowler; a step brother, Gerald Quick of Denver Colo. He was preceded in death by a daughter, four brothers and two sisters. Services were 2 p.m. Friday at the Crumley Williams Funeral Home. The Rev. Bill Keller officiated. Burial was in Newtown Cemetery.

He was a member of Harshbarger Church at Atwood, Ill., and the Fountain County Farm Bureau. He was born Feb. 4, 1899, at Garrett, Ill., the son of Philo and Viola Keeling Wildman. He was married Sept. 21, 1921, at Tuscola, Ill., to Pauline Greve. She survives. Also surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Francis (Viola) Weigle of Attica, Mrs. Robert (Mary) Klutzke of Wingate, Mrs. Ben (Ethel) Holland of Joliet, Ill., Mrs. Richard (Catherine) Hampton of Crawfordsville and Mrs. John (Margie) West of Rockville; five sons, Ralph E. of Crawfordsville, James F. of Thorntown, Charles F. of Veedersburg and Thomas Philo of Veedersburg; 33 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Shultz of Attica and Mrs. Vernie Williams of Arroyo Grande, Calif.; two stepsisters, Mrs. Ted McCoy of Brazil and Mrs. Paul Stone of Fowler and a step-brother, Gerald Quick of Denver, Colo. He was preceded in death by a daughter, four brothers and two sisters. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home at Hillsboro with the Rev. Bill Keller officiating. Burial will be in Newtown Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Thursday. – jlr
